Innovative Skills Development and Storytelling for the Valorisation of Ceramic Heritage Impacted by War and Conflicts
The JOINING THE SHARDS project focuses on strengthening the competences of museum and cultural institution staff in the protection of ceramic heritage affected by war and conflict. The activities include research, international exchange of experience, workshops, study visits, and the testing of innovative conservation and restoration methods. The project also develops skills in cultural narratives, storytelling, modern exhibition practices, and audience engagement.
As part of the project, practical guidelines for ceramic conservation will be developed, along with a publication presenting innovative technologies and their applications, as well as medium-term conservation and exhibition plans for participating museums. The project will result in strengthened organisational capacity of cultural institutions and enhanced qualifications and motivation of their staff.
